And Bear says....

Ya know that part on Sesame Street:
Murry had a little Lamb...
that orange monster and his Spanish lamb visit a school...
Bear was watching it and he turns to me and says:
"Mom is that thing a girl or a boy?"
he was referring to the orange monster...
Lol!
I laughed and told him it was a boy.

Frozen Grapes

Best summer snack ever, frozen grapes.

This is what you do....
Step 1: Go to the grocery store and buy some grapes
Step 2: Bring them home and wash them
Step 3: Let them dry
Step 4: Pick the grapes off of the vine
Step 5: Put them in ziplock bags
Step 6: Place the bags of grapes in the freezer
Step 7: Leave them in long enough for them to freeze
Step 8: Eat and enjoy....

I started freezing grapes this week. My boys love them. I have a freezer full of otter pops. Are my boys asking and begging for those like they were last week? No, they want the grapes.
Phil loves them (the frozen grapes) too. :D

Lyon's second Birthday

For Lyon's B-day we decided to take the boys to the Living Planet Aquarium up in Sandy. The boys had a blast! They loved seeing all of the fish and freaked out at the tank with stingrays that you could touch. Lyon was nervous about some of the creatures like there were some spiders that he wouldn't go anywhere near.

You can see Lyon is a little mad in this picture. I can't really remember why, maybe he was annoyed that I kept trying to get him to go into these little caves through the "coral" so I could get his picture.

Here is Bear he was very good about having his picture taken. I couldn't get Ly to stand on the other side of this "tree"

He started bawling when I tried to get him to sit in this little canoe.

Bear of course was all for getting in the canoe, but was disappointed that he couldn't pick up the paddle. It was glued down to the floor.

After the Aquarium we came home and made cupcakes. This was Ly's cake:D

Here he is opening presents, he had plenty of help.

The baseball bat was from Phil and I. He was so excited about it. In the picture he is saying "its awesome!"

Here he is holding "Sissy" He likes to hold her for a few seconds at a time.

All in all I think he had a good Birthday.

Campfire

It is always hard when part of the family leaves. It was hard when Jason and Becca left to Cleveland, and equally hard when Daniel and Kealy left also to Cleveland, Ohio. :( Before Dan and Kealy left we tried to spend as much time as possible with them. Soaking up as many memories as we could to hold us over until they come back to Utah to visit. One fun thing we did was a campfire up hobble creek canyon. We roasted hot dogs and made s'mores.

Kealy and Steph in the background and Bear showing the camera how cool he is

Lyon giving Grandpa "five" In the background you can see Steph, Grandma holding Fenix,
Phil, and Kealy
Kealy, Seph, and Lyon who is circling the campfire very widley thanks to the severe warnings
about going to close to the fire

Lyon :D

It was Sunday. We were visiting the Grandparents. Lyon soaked right through his diaper, onesie, then his shorts. I noticed he needed to be changed too late. We of course had no extra clothes or diapers for him. Fortunately we found this towel in our car. I had it on the front seat, it had been there for weeks, I put it there just in case my water broke in the car (back when I was preggo). LOl! We tried it toga style, but that didn't work. Someone found a safty pin so we wrapped it around his waist and pinned it. It wasn't really practical, I think he would have been okay running around naked but.... Then I wouldn't have these really cute pics to share. :D

Bear

"That's the heckest thing I ever seen!"

In the middle of breakfast:
"hah Mom, mermaids don't have butts"
I have no idea where that came from
