The Fourth of July...

The Fourth of July was on Sunday.
We didn't buy and light fireworks.
We didn't go to the stadium of fire (we had tickets but sold them)
We didn't even have root beer floats.

I'm not worried about it.

We had some family over, we had a last minute, unplanned BBQ.
I prepared the food while Superman grilled it.
Mean while his parents shelled peas at the kitchen table.
We played baseball in the front yard.
We stole a peek at the neighbors fireworks.

Basically we lived the American dream.
We are grateful that we are able to live it.
We are grateful for this God gifted country.
We are grateful for those that protect it.
We know that should we ever need to defend it on our homeland we would without hesitation.

This is our country.
Our home.
We love it here.

If that isn't a celebration I don't know what is...
